"...I’m loving having my “old horse” back. He is super awesome and we match each other so well. I still occasionally have a “listening ears aren’t on” issue, but instead of it becoming a scary bolt, I know what to do to retrain before it becomes a bigger issue..."
"The single biggest problem with communication is the illusion that it has taken place..."
~ George Bernard Shaw
"Heavy on my hands"
"Runs away from my aids"
"Won't listen to my leg"
"Doesn't respect me or my aids"
"Won't ride out alone"
"Too hot / anxious / fast"
"Runs through my contact"
"Has issues with contact"
"Runs me over on the ground!"
DON'T JUDGE YOUR HORSE...
IMAGINE IF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WAS JUDGED ON HOW WELL YOU DID AT ONE THING? IT SOUNDS RIDICILOUS...
AND YET, SO MANY THOROUGHBREDS ARE JUDGED ON THEIR PAST ABILITIES AND PERFORMANCES AT THE TRACK
GIVE YOUR OTTB THE CHANCE TO SHINE IN THEIR NEW CAREER, WHATEVER IT IS, BY BUILDING A SOLID FOUNDATION
Your Current Progress...
If you are currently experiencing challenges with your horse and continue on the same path, where can you realistically expect to be 3, 6 or 12 months from now?
SEND HORSE AWAY TO A PROFESSIONAL FOR RE-TRAINING & HIRE A TRAINER FOR A YEAR OR TWO
SELL YOUR OTTB, OR RELEGATE HIM TO 'PASTURE ORNAMENT' & BUY A WELL SCHOOLED HORSE
You stop riding or very rarely...
No longer enjoy riding or horses
Tension with family & friends
Risk injury or worse
Can you even put a price on any of these things?
I'm Lorna Leeson and my goal is to help as many riders, just like you, as possible all over the world to have better conversations with their horses...
I am the host of the Daily Strides Podcast and have been successfully working with riders online for 9 years now.
After moving to South Africa, and working with mostly OTTBs, I developed a true love for thoroughbred horses. I have created this program to help address the issues that show up over and over for so many riders while retraining their ex-racehorses.
I am a trained riding instructor and have helped dozens of OTTB riders, both in-person and online, get on the same page with their horse.
My goal is to help as many riders as possible, all over the world, improve their skills and knowledge so that they can have truly better and lifelong conversations with their horses.
